According to the findings of the study by Cloete &Obaigwa (2019), caregivers of children with autism experience a significant emotional burden. First, accepting the diagnosis is difficult. Additionally, children with autism have numerous needs when compared to other children within the same age group. Moreover, sometimes families with children with autism face stigmatization since some community members lack awareness about this developmental condition. There were also cases of families facing domestic problems after the diagnosis.
