Traditional research involves watching a process and recording the results and analyzing the data from the observations. Identify Similarities and Differences Between action Research and Traditional Research. Active research is more of a process, where the person involved in the process is actively involved in the process and attempting to reach a desired outcome with their actions. Businesses would likely choose to implement an action research approach so that they may apply the research to an issue that they are directly interested in. For example, nationwide there is a toilet paper shortage. Businesses may choose to study this problem if they produce toilet paper. The business may try a new approach to producing the toilet paper with a desired outcome to be that they produce that paper either faster or cheaper. This would be an active approach. Traditional research might involve them studying an organization that produces printer paper to see how they are producing paper and studying that data. Because they have no say or input on how that company produces the printer paper, they are not taking an action research approach.

I agree with you that action is active research, while traditional research is more passive.Identify Similarities and Differences Between action Research and Traditional Research. Conventional research findings often are general. It is difficult to determine the cause of the problem with these types of results. Besides, the traditional research approach contributes to the knowledge in the field, unlike action research, which improves the professional practice since it is more of a process. Individuals involved in the process work to ensure they achieve the set objectives. Also, when traditional research fills the gap identified in the literature, action research develops an action plan to address the practical issue at hand.Identify Similarities and Differences Between action Research and Traditional Research.
I also second your opinion that business organizations are more likely to implement action research in ventures they intend to invest as opposed to traditional research. In the perspective of business, action research operates in the practical tasks, the realm of policies, and planned hierarchical administrative systems (Gray, 2019). You have brilliantly explained this business concept through the toilet paper shortage example. This is because for an organization to tackle this case, it requires to conduct action research. Through the study, they will find the cause of the shortage and find solutions probably ways to produce more and avoid it from happening in the future. On the other hand, if they use traditional research, they might only manage to analyze data but not find a solution.Identify Similarities and Differences Between action Research and Traditional Research.
In conclusion, both action and traditional research approaches work effectively. However, businesses are likely to implement action research as opposed to conventional analysis. This method of research facilitates organizational change. Also, people involved in the study are expected to grow their careers, for they get fully involved in the process. Moreover, an organization can quickly determine new ventures to invest by solving problems using action research.Identify Similarities and Differences Between action Research and Traditional Research.
