The writing experience has improved my proficiency and confidence as an academic writer. In fact, it has made me more aware of stylistic elements of writing. Firstly, I can better organize my thoughts and ideas in a logical and formal manner to present cohesive augments using narrative links. This makes it easier for persons who read my papers to better follow my arguments. Secondly, my diction and language has improved such that I have become more focused on nuanced meanings rather than dictionary meaning when writing (Schimel, 2012).
