Technology and health care have always been synonymous; looking at how technology has reduced risk and increased accessibility. This state of affairs is not expected to change any time soon. As new technology is developed to keep people healthier, it can be expected that health care system of 2030 will leverage communication technologies to help the public connect more easily with their physicians and take control of their own health. While it is unclear what the future holds, it is clear that health care will increasingly become reliant on technology to make life more interesting, safer and easier. There are four main technological advancements that would be available to patients. The first advancement is increased focus on timely diagnosis and prevention through the use of fitness trackers and telemedicine. Instead of waiting for patients to show up in hospitals as their medical problems become acute, technology will help in recognizing health problems before they escalate(Wachter, 2017). The fourth advancement is a shift from general to personal health care by making use of predictive medicine. Miniaturized/wearable sensors and systems will allow medical personnel to collect real-time accurate bio data on the patients.
